Paul Rich, Chair

Paul Rich was appointed Chair of the NHSBSA at the beginning of November 2005. Paul was previously Deputy Managing Director and Marketing Director UK for Royal Mail, where he ran many of the key business units and functions including business development, marketing, information technology and systems. Paul is a Member of the Institute of Directors and a Fellow of the Royal Society of Arts.
David Teale, Non Executive Director

David Teale has held various board positions with Manchester Airports Group including Managing Director, Manchester Airport Aviation Services and Chair of Humberside Airport. He is currently Chair of Solutions SK, Chair of Parkway Green Housing Trust and Chief Executive of North of England Excellence. David is a Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Logistics and Transport, and a Chartered Member of the Institute of Personnel and Development.
Mike Harling, Non Executive Director

Mike Harling was Group HR Director of Xansa plc and also held senior management positions in HR and business development for BP. He is a Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development. Mike is also Chair of the NHSBSA's Remuneration and Terms of Service Committee.
Anne Galbraith CBE, Non Executive Director
Anne Galbraith is currently Chair of Durham University Council, Chair of the Valuation Tribunal Service and Human Remains Advisory Service. Anne was Chair of the NHS Prescription Pricing Authority until the creation of the NHSBSA in 2006. She has a long association with the NHS and has previously held non-executive posts with health bodies including a period as the Chairman of the Royal Victoria Infirmary and Associated Hospitals Trust in Newcastle upon Tyne. Anne was awarded the OBE in the 2004 in recognition of her services to the community in the North East and the CBE in June 2010 Birthday Honours for public service.
Jeremy Strachan, Non Executive Director
Jeremy Strachan was an executive director of the pharmaceutical firm Glaxo Wellcome plc, with global responsibility for legal and public affairs and business development. He then became the CEO of the British Medical Association until the end of 2004. Jeremy is a barrister and is Vice-Chair of the Disciplinary Appeal Committee of the Chartered Institute of Management Accountants and a trustee of the charity Drugscope.
David Hulf, Non Executive Director
David Hulf formerly held board level finance positions at BP which have included responsibilities for global finance, strategy and business development. David is a Fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England & Wales and a Member of the Audit Committee Institute. David is also Chair of the NHSBSA's Audit and Risk Committee.
Nick Scholte, Chief Executive

Nick Scholte is Chief Executive of the NHS Business Services Authority. He is responsible for managing the business of the organsation and providing leadership on strategy and development. Nick was previously Chief Executive of the Prescription Pricing Authority.
Michael Brodie, Director of Finance

Michael Brodie is responsible for the full range of financial services and financial management, as well as audit services, property and facilities management, risk management and sustainability.
He has worked in NHS Finance for nine years previously holding senior finance positions in local government and the police service. Michael is an external co-opted member of Durham University's Audit Committee, a member of the Executive Committee of CIPFA in the North East and serves as a Governor for the Ashington Learning Partnership.
Alistair McDonald, Chief Operating Officer

Alistair McDonald is responsible for the operational performance of all business streams across the NHSBSA and has executive responsibility for IT. Alistair leads on performance management including benchmarking & customer satisfaction.
He has worked in senior management postions over the last 14 years delivering change, performance and process improvement projects. He is a member of the Chartered Institute of Management Accountants and the Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development.
Jim Orr, Commercial Director

Jim Orr is responsible for commercial activity across the NHSBSA. Jim leads on contract negotiation, procurement and strategic management of existing contracts. He also has executive responsibility for the NHS Supply Chain operation. Jim joined the NHSBSA in 2006 after a long career within the world wide electronics manufacturing industry.
Roberta Barker, Director of People and Organisational Development

Roberta Barker is responsible for human resources across the NHSBSA. This includes HR, learning and development, organisational design, talent management and health & safety. Roberta joined the NHSBSA in September 2008 with a wider range of experience from both public and private sector organisations.
