NHS Fraud and Corruption Reporting Line (FCRL)

Concerned about a fraud taking place within the NHS? Genuine information can be given to a confidential NHS Fraud & Corruption Reporting Line, 0800 028 40 60. All calls are dealt with by trained staff and professionally investigated. Freephone 8am - 6pm.

The NHS Fraud and Corruption Reporting Line (FCRL) is a freephone number:

  • 0800 028 40 60.

The FCRL is a simple means of reporting genuine suspicions of NHS fraud. It allows NHS staff who are unsure of internal reporting procedures, or who wish to speak with complete confidentiality, to report their concerns. All calls are dealt with by experienced, trained staff. Callers may remain anonymous if they wish.

Many of the calls to the FCRL become confirmed fraud investigations. The line has provided many cases which have been successfully investigated.

The FCRL is intended to complement existing fraud reporting procedures and should not interfere with whistleblowing policies used in many health bodies to address non-fraud-related matters.
