Vital signs

The dentistry report (vital signs) will replace the current version of the vital signs report in January 2020

This is because the systems used to create the vital signs are changing. The new report is based on the existing report. However, it differs as it’s updated monthly for each contract. It is also more closely aligned with the eDEN reporting system dashboards.

NHS Dental Services provide vital signs reports to NHS Commissioners and dental providers. These reports include measures which help with monitoring contracts across 4 key areas, which are:

  • access
  • activity
  • quality
  • finance.

The reports are published on a quarterly basis with the exception of the end of year report which is published each year in July.

We provide other contract level reports for NHS Commissioners to assist with their local contract monitoring processes.

Health body versions

The reports for health bodies are accessed via Compass and are produced on a quarterly basis.
