Determination - Uplift to advance payment between 1 April 2020 and 1 July 2020

The following is an announcement on behalf of DHSC:

To mitigate cash flow issues due to COVID-19, a total uplift of circa £370 million across all pharmacy contractors has been made between 1 April 2020 and 1 July 2020. Pharmacy contractors, which opened between March 2020 and June 2020 and provided NHS pharmaceutical services during these months, are eligible for the uplift, for example a pharmacy contractor which opened in June 2020 and provided NHS pharmaceutical services is eligible to receive their share of the average each prescription got from £20 million for each prescription they dispensed in June. Pharmacy contractors, which opened between March 2002 and June 2020, and did not receive an uplift by 1 August 2020 or think that their uplift was lower than it should have been when they compare to what is outlined in the determination (see the link to the determination below), have an opportunity until 5 November 2020 to make representations as to why they think they should have received the uplift or a top-up to the uplift they received.
