Delays affecting new award claims

We apologise for the delay some of our customers are currently experiencing with their pension applications. 

This is affecting new award claims only and has been caused by loss of processing time to allow us to transition to a new system. We aim to make payment within 30 days of the payable date, or the date that NHS Pensions receives all required information. 

The majority of our customers are receiving their benefits within 21 days of the usual processing time. We’re working through the cases in strict date order and interest will become payable should some pension benefits be paid late.
