Check to see if you are eligible to apply for the Learning Support Fund.
Students who wish to apply for one or more elements of the Learning Support Fund need to be:
- studying on an eligible programme at a university in England,
- eligible for tuition fee and maintenance support from the Student Loans Company, either through Student Finance England (SFE), Student Finance Wales (SFW), the Student Awards Agency for Scotland (SAAS) or Student Finance Northern Ireland (SFNI); see ‘Student Finance’ in the useful links below for more details. Alternative arrangements are in place for students who may not apply for a loan due to personal reasons, such as their religion or ; those students must still show that they meet the eligibility criteria as defined by either SFE, SFW, SFNI or SAAS, as applicable,
- actively in study, whether academic or practice learning.
Please note: Students attending a part-time course starting from 1 August 2017 to 31 July 2018 and are eligible for a bursary maintenance award can also apply for the Exceptional Support Fund element of LSF but not the other allowances.
