About us

Our team was established as part of the NHSBSA in 2013.

We're helping to deliver sustainability for the NHS by saving £1 billion for patients, improving health and wellbeing and increasing the quality of patient care.

We work with partners across the health and social care system to identify, develop and deliver clinically appropriate changes that can release significant value, which our involvement could enhance or accelerate.

We use insight from data, from specialist knowledge and from working with our partners, to identify best practice and new ways of working that we can help to spread nationally.

This method of working allows us to aid the NHS in delivering better, safer services and become more sustainable at a faster pace than would otherwise be possible.

We always take a proactive approach to monitor the benefits of any opportunities that we help to deliver.

We are helping to deliver sustainability for the NHS by saving £1 billion for patients, improving health and wellbeing and increasing the quality of patient care.

We deliver sustainability for the NHS by:

  • saving money to reinvest in patient care

  • improving patient health and wellbeing

  • increasing the quality of patient care
Delivering sustainability for the NHS by saving money to reinvest in patient care, improving patient health and wellbeing and increasing the value of patient care.

We're an NHS team with multiple skills and particular experience of delivering complex change programmes in a wide range of public and private sector settings.

Our health and social care credentials include specialist expertise in:

  • commissioning
  • NHS finance
  • clinical pharmacy
  • nursing

We combine our experience with data that's generated from processing over £34 billion of payment every year to give us a unique perspective on the health and social care system.

By combining this with our partners’ expert knowledge of their own specialist areas, we help to deliver better value faster and act as a catalyst for better health.

Our work has helped to deliver over £902m of recurrent value since August 2013.

These are demonstrable reductions in NHS revenue spend, which our partners have been made available for our partners to reinvest in patient care.

We work closely with all our stakeholders to develop the most appropriate and robust metrics for both the social and financial value of initiatives we support.

We receive regular updates on the benefits delivered from these opportunities and translate them, wherever possible, into financial indicators which we update every month.
