We and the Department of Health and Social Care take bursary fraud very seriously.
We know that the majority of students are honest, but some do make fraudulent claims. We're determined to catch these people and take every step possible to protect public funds.
We have processes in place to detect fraud, including criminal investigators who will actively and diligently seek the greatest punishment against those who defraud the scheme.
Students, who are found to have committed fraud, will have to repay their bursary and will be removed from the register of their professional body.
