Our publication scheme
The publication scheme is a complete guide to the information which we routinely publish. It contains information about our organisation and our work which we make publicly available. We review the Scheme at regular intervals and monitor how it is operating.
It is important to us that this Scheme meets your needs and we have designed it to identify clearly everything we publish so that you can find information about the NHSBSA easily. The Freedom of Information Act does not change the right of patients to the protection of your patient confidentiality which continues to be an important commitment on our part.

Information management
Information contained within the publication scheme will be retained in line with our retention and disposal schedules, which comply with current Department of Health and Public Record Office Guidance. Information not required for the business purpose of the NHSBSA is stored at the NHSBSA for the purpose of holding public records.
