This funding helps User-Led Organisations (ULOs) pay for training for individual employers (IEs) and their personal assistants (PAs) within adult social care.
We administer this fund on behalf of the Department of Health and Social Care. Funding can only be claimed by eligible ULOs for approved training and development courses.
How and when to apply
If you are an eligible ULO and want to apply, follow these steps:
- Review the ULO eligibility guidance.
- Complete the application form and the full cost breakdown spreadsheet linked below.
- Email both documents along with your support evidence to [email protected]
The application window for the 2026 to 2027 financial year is now open. Successful applications must prepare to deliver the funded training during autumn 2026. You will be notified of your application outcome within 8 weeks of the closing date
Key dates and deadlines
Application timeframe
- 1 June 2026: Application window opens
- 26 July 2026: Application window closes
- 31 August to 9 September 2026: Applicants notified of outcome
Project delivery deadlines
- 29 November 2026: Interim report deadline
- 28 February 2027: Training delivery deadline
- 21 March 2027: Training verification and final report deadline
Note that ULOs must report the completion of training to the NHSBSA within 2 weeks of final delivery.
