Provider Assurance

We support primary care contractors to meet their contractual obligations. We do this on behalf of NHS England and NHS Improvement, and the Welsh Government.

We currently support dental providers, GPs, General Ophthalmic Services contractors, and pharmacy contractors. Each service has its own dedicated section within this Provider Assurance area of the website.

We strive to deliver a national, regional, and local service that supports and facilitates the effective and consistent delivery and management of Health and Social Care Services.

Our objectives

We focus on:

  • developing our teams to enable them to be the best they can be
  • delivering our business case promises
  • continuing to collaborate with internal and external partners to reduce loss in the system
  • growing existing service areas and expand into new areas
  • promoting the service internally and externally

Provider Assurance Dental (PAD)

The PAD team undertake contract and performance management activities on behalf of regional teams

Provider Assurance General Practice Services

We engage with GPs and do assurance reviews on behalf of NHS England and NHS Improvement

Provider Assurance Ophthalmic Services

We work on behalf of NHSEI on annual GOS complaints, GOS 4 authorisation, contract management and PPV

Provider Assurance Pharmaceutical Services

We support NHS pharmacy contractors in submitting accurate claims for various services and schemes
