Bursary fraud

We and the Department of Health and Social Care take fraud very seriously. We know most students are honest, but some do make fraudulent claims. We're set on catching these students and taking every step possible to protect public funds.

We have processes to detect fraud, including criminal investigators who actively seek the greatest punishment against those who commit fraud.

Students who are found to have committed fraud will have to repay their bursary and will be removed from the register of their professional body.

Reporting fraud

If you suspect someone of bursary fraud, you can report it on the NHS Counter Fraud Authority website.
