NHS Community Pharmacy Hypertension Case-Finding Advanced Service

New Secretary of State Directions 7BG and 7BH of the 2013 Direction (PDF: 212KB) published today, 30 September 2021, introduce the NHS Community Pharmacy Hypertension Case-Finding Advanced Service. It will see community pharmacies help to identify people with high blood pressure and to refer them for appropriate management.

Also published is the Determination (PDF: 102KB), including information on the incentive payments available to pharmacy contractors who deliver a minimum number of ABPM checks each year for the first 3 years of the service.

Community Pharmacy Covid-19 Lateral Flow Device Distribution Service

An updated Community Pharmacy Covid-19 Lateral Flow Device Distribution Service will begin from 4 October. As part of the changes, people collecting tests will be asked to register on gov.uk or by calling 119 for a collect code to provide to contractors when they pick up test kits.

Directions 7BE and 7BF (PDF: 212KB) have been amended and a new Determination (PDF: 102KB), including information on the new fee structure for the service, have been made and published.
