The National Clinical Audit to be undertaken by all community pharmacy contractors in 2022-23 will focus on preventing harm from Valproate prescribing in patients, of childbearing age, who are biologically able to be pregnant.
This has been agreed by NHS England and the Pharmaceutical Services Negotiating Committee (PSNC), following the publication of the recommendations of the previous audit carried out in 2019-20.
To support community pharmacy contractors in their completion of the audit, the NHSBSA, on behalf of NHS England, are publishing a dataset showing which pharmacies have submitted a return.
