We want to help make the Protection of Pay (PP) and Voluntary Protection of Pay (VPP) application process as smooth as possible for you and your employees.
To ensure applications are processed quickly and without unnecessary delays, please make sure that both the member's PP SM R9 App and the employer's PP SM R9 Employing Authority (EA) forms are submitted together. At a minimum, these should include the member's change form and notification of the reduction in pay at the time it takes effect.
Completing all relevant sections in full, including information about the member's circumstances and reasons for the reduction in pay, will help us process applications promptly.
Finally, please do check that you are using the most up-to-date version of the SM R9 forms, which will help everything run as smoothly as possible.
