Due to the Good Friday bank holiday (3 April) occurring within the first five days of April 2026, the submission deadline for FP34C declarations to receive an early advance payment will be 6 April, in line with the Drug Tariff.
However, 6 April is also a bank holiday (Easter Monday) on which many pharmacies may be closed. Pharmacies who submit their FP34C declarations after 6 April will receive a normal advance payment on 1 May, in line with the Drug Tariff.
Therefore, the Department would like to remind contractors of the 6 April deadline for the early advance payment and ask contractors to make plans to ensure timely submission of FP34C declarations.
Contractors are also asked to make every effort to submit their FP10 prescription bundles as soon as possible, in line with normal practice. However, in recognition of the busy Easter period and associated bank holidays, FP10 prescription bundles dispatched to NHSBSA no later than 7 April 2026 will be accepted.
