If you’re a General Ophthalmic Services contractor operating in England, you must submit your annual GOS complaints return before 11:59pm on Friday 3 September.
Under General Ophthalmic Services Regulations 2008, you’re required to submit an annual form providing the number of written NHS complaints your practice has received.
As last year’s collection was paused due to COVID-19, this year’s collection covers any written complaints received between 1 April 2019 and Wednesday 31 March 2021.
If you did not receive any complaints, you still need to complete your return. You can do this by entering 0 into the relevant boxes.
How to submit your annual GOS complaints return
If we hold your email address, you will have received an email from email@example.com. This email contains a link to access the annual GOS complaints return.
If you have not received an email from us, you still need to complete the return. You can complete the GOS complaints return online. You’ll need your ODS code to start your return.
