Sam Peterson
Head of HR Transactions

Sam is an award-winning, CIPD qualified HR, learning and organisation development leader. Educated to postgraduate level with over 25 years’ HR and OD experience in the private and public sector, Sam has spent the last eight years working in the NHS, leading and developing the NHSBSA HR Shared Service.

The coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic has proved beyond doubt the benefits of, and need for, an agile shared service. Our HR Shared Services team has proved invaluable to the NHS, supporting urgent covid-related initiatives such as ‘Bringing Back Staff’ and ‘Vaccination Recruitment Services’. By delivering modern cloud-based systems and time-saving processes which harness the power of automation, we are able to deliver our not-for-profit service in a way that saves time, money and more importantly, creates capacity from within for our customers.

Phil Wilkins
Senior Service Delivery Manager

Phil is a business process outsourcing professional with 20 years’ experience. He is highly skilled in leading and directing quality service delivery, identifying improvements and implementing transformative plans to raise efficiency levels and drive exemplary customer experiences. For the last two years, Phil has led the Business Improvement team within HR Shared Services and has been at the forefront of our digital transformation, bringing to life new services such as the Document Management System and Digital Pre-employment Checking.

Chris Watson
Business Manager

Chris is a creative support professional with over 20 year’s diverse experience within the Customer Service and Sales outsourcing industry. As the newest member of the senior management team, he brings a commercial management perspective and extensive knowledge of process optimisation. Using proven methods and cutting-edge technology to successfully cut costs, streamline operations and increase productivity, Chris is dedicated to offering the best possible value to our customers.

Tracy Dover
Senior Service Delivery Manager

Tracy has 25 years’ experience of people management in both the private and public sectors. During her 14-year tenure with the NHSBSA, she has been proud to be part of the team that worked at pace to create and deliver the HR Shared Service that we are today.

As client account manager for several clients and Service Manager within the HR Shared Service, Tracy is accountable for the smooth delivery of the service level agreements and key performance indicators, ensuring that the team provides the highest level of customer service across all areas.

As the Senior Service Delivery Manager within HR Shared Services, Tracy works closely with the Operational Team and continues to deliver continuous improvements to meet the needs of our clients and customers and contribute to the frontline NHS.
