The Secretary of State for Health and Social Care, Matt Hancock, visited the NHS Business Services Authority (NHSBSA) in Newcastle, as the organisation who will have responsibility for administering the new nursing support payments which are being made available from September 2020.
The Health Secretary toured the NHSBSA’s head offices to see first-hand the work being done to digitise services, and how the organisation manages large-scale services for the NHS.
After hearing about digitisation, NHS Jobs, student services the Secretary of State addressed staff and hosted a question and answer session.
Health and Social Care Secretary Matt Hancock said: “The NHS Business Services Authority is doing a brilliant job of helping to bring the NHS into the 21st century. We want to ensure that the same high quality technology that you use every day at home is available from the NHS services that you use - and NHSBSA is at the heart of some of this cutting edge technology.”
