Notices of correction

Prescription Cost Analysis (PCA) - December 2021

Date of Notice: 23 February 2022

The December PCA file was republished on 22 February 2022 due to annual version changes to the BNF being implemented in this dataset one month earlier than they should have been.

The data was reproduced to show the relevant BNF Codes for December 2021.

No other measures within the data have been impacted by this issue, however, the fact that BNF Codes were implemented one month earlier than should have been may change the conclusions that would previously have been drawn from the data.

We're sorry for any inconvenience this has caused.

English Prescribing Data (EPD) and English Prescribing Data (EPD) with Snomed code - October 2021

Date of Notice: 14 January 2022

When this dataset was first published around mid-December 2021, it was identified that the column, ACTUAL_COST was reported as a (£) total instead of a pence total, making the cost look 100 hundred times larger than it actually was.

The tables were reproduced to show the correct actual cost figures.

It has now been identified that there is a further issue with Actual Cost, affecting multi-element items only.

The tables have been reproduced to correct the multi-element actual cost figures.

No other measures within the data have been impacted by these issues, however, the incorrect actual cost figures may change the conclusions that would previously have been drawn from the data.

We're sorry for any inconvenience this has caused.
