The friends and family test (FFT) is an important feedback tool that supports the fundamental principle that people who use NHS services should have the opportunity to provide feedback on their experience.
Primary dental service providers should prepare to restart FFT data submissions from the start of July. Providers are expected to submit their first month’s FFT data in August and monthly data will begin publishing once the first three months’ worth of data has been collected.
Practices may want to revisit the revised guidance. There is a table in the guidance that sets out the requirements for each service type, including dentists (see p24) and there is also a checklist on p36 for providers which may help with preparation for restarting.
NHS England FFT has published a set of frequently asked questions on the NHS England and NHS Improvement website.
