Dispensing doctor and personal administration payments

Dispensing doctor payments

NHS Prescription Services provides information to Primary Care Organisation payment sites so that they can make payments to dispensing doctors.  The data is dispatched no later than the 15th of the month after the month we receive it.

The actual date that each practice will be paid depends on each payment site's local arrangements.

Personal administration payments

Information is provided to Primary Care Organisation payment sites to enable them to make payments to prescribing only doctors for personal administration claims. The data is despatched no later than the 15th of the month following the month in which they were received.

For example August claims received by NHS Prescription Services in September means that information is issued to payment site by 15th October. Actual date payment is made into the practice bank account depends on each payment site's local arrangements which NHS Prescription Services have no control over.
