The Community Pharmacy Seasonal Influenza Vaccination Advanced Service has been recommissioned for 2017/18. Terms and fees for the service are set out in Drug Tariff Part VIC and the Directions are published below: Updated Seasonal influenza Directions (Enhanced and Advanced Services) (England) 2017 Updated Service Specification and Patient Group Direction (PGD) has been released and can be found here: https://www.england.nhs.uk/publication/community-pharmacy-seasonal-influenza-vaccine-service-201718/ The service can be provided by any community pharmacy in England, provided that it: has a consultation room can procure the vaccination can meet the data recording requirements has appropriately trained staff Register to provide the service If you intend to provide the service between 1 September 2017 and 31 March 2018, you must register your pharmacy’s details with NHS England first. If you registered to provide the service in 2016/17, you must still register again for 2017/18. If you register before 1 September 2017 you must not administer any vaccinations until 1 September 2017. If the notification to the NHSBSA is not received prior to payment claims being submitted they will not be processed or paid as the requirement to notify the NHSBSA, set out in the Pharmaceutical Services (Advanced and Enhanced Services) (England) (Amendment) Directions, will have been breached. Register your pharmacy as a provider of the service If you choose to stop offering the service at any point before 31 March 2018, you must inform NHS England by de-registering. De-register your pharmacy as a provider of the service Submit a claim for payment Once you have registered your pharmacy, you can claim reimbursement for the vaccinations you administer and the associated fees by completing the form below. Please make sure you use the correct version of the form (V1 2017/18) from the link below to avoid risking any delays in payment. You will need to complete the community pharmacy seasonal influenza vaccination advanced service claim form and submit this to the NHS BSA with your FP34C each month to claim payment for this service. Final payment claims for those vaccinations administered during March must be submitted to the NHSBSA by 5 April in the same year in line with the FP34C process. Late claims will not be processed.
