There have been many regulations introduced which have changed the NHS Pension Scheme in different ways. A list of all regulations is provided here:
These are informal consolidated versions of the NHS Pension Scheme Regulations, updated to include the amendments that came into force on 1 April 2022.
The amendments have been incorporated by Department of Health and Social Care officials to illustrate how the changes have affected the original Statutory Instruments (S.I.s). The latest amendments are made by the National Health Service Pension Schemes (Member Contributions etc.) (Amendment) Regulations 2022 (Statutory Instrument 2022 No. 273) and the National Health Service Pension Schemes (Amendment) Regulations 2022 (Statutory Instrument 2022 No. 327). Amendments are shown in green and blue text respectively.
As the amendments made by Part 2 of S.I. 2022 No. 273 (amending regulations 3 to 8 in the S.I.) are not effective until 1 October 2022, further updates will be made to the 2015 Scheme informal consolidation once these come into force.
These consolidations are for information only and should not be relied upon as a definitive statement of the pension scheme regulations. The original and amending Statutory Instruments can be found on the UK Legislation website.
