If you claimed your NHS pension before your normal pension age, you can buy out the reduction that would apply.
In the 2015 Scheme, your normal pension age is 65 or the same as your State Pension age if that is later.
If the State Pension age rises during your membership of the Scheme, your normal pension age may rise.

How to apply for an early retirement reduction buy out
Complete the Early Retirement Reduction Buy Out Expression of interest (ERRBO1) form (PDF: 209KB) to register your interest.
If your application is successful, we’ll let you know in writing. If your application is not successful, we'll let you know the reason why.
You must then complete the Early Retirement Reduction Buy Out application for agreement (ERRBO3) form (Word: 72KB) and return it to us at:

Making changes to your early retirement reduction buy out
You should complete the Request to Suspend, Terminate or Vary an ERRBO Agreement (Word: 134KB) if you would like to stop, suspend, or increase your contributions towards your ERRBO agreement.
