For individual members

Use the request to protect Pensionable Pay (SM R9 EA) (PDF: 47.6KB) form to request individual protection of pay for a member.

For several members

If you have a number of staff who have suffered a reduction in pay through no fault of their own, you should complete the universal spreadsheet (Excel: 144KB).

Make sure you password protect the spreadsheet before emailing it to NHS Pensions.

Use the universal bulk reply letter template (Word: 40.5KB) to notify members.

Deemed pay

Deemed pay is pay that would have been paid to a member, if they had not been absent from duty.
